Safety takes top priority on all our projects. The renovation and repairs to a hangar at Cairns Airfield, Ft Rucker, Alabama, were no exception. With an eave height of 38’ and a peak height of 52’, we had to take extra safety measures.
Since the fundamental bracing components were removed from the structure during renovation, we had to take extra safety precautions. Working with our subcontractor to identify areas of possible weakness in the structure, our field team developed and implemented a temporary bracing plan to ensure the structure would not collapse during the replacement of the exterior skin. The plan was successful, and the project was completed safely with zero lost-time accidents.
