Grand National

Hoar Construction’s approach to providing construction services is to find creative solutions to resolve any challenges. Work on the Grand National Hotel and Conference Center was no different.

The project began with eight months of preconstruction budgeting. Once the budget was established, Hoar Construction began a value engineering process that generated over 200 items. Each of these items was priced and presented to the owner for consideration. Of the $4 million Hoar Construction offered as potential savings, the owner accepted $2 million. To meet the owner’s desired opening date, the fast track project was constructed in 12.5 months from site work to opening. The final structural documents were completed a month and a half after construction start and the final architectural documents three months later. Led by a veteran team of construction professionals, Hoar Construction prioritized and awarded contracts so as not to adversely affect the schedule, delivered a handsome, high-quality facility that satisfied the owner’s budget requirements, and completed the project to meet the established opening date.
