The Morris

The Morris Tower is a 19-story high-end apartment complex. Located in Midtown Nashville, the facility is situated to have spectacular views of downtown Nashville.

The Morris includes 344 units and a rooftop amenities deck. Residents will have amazing views of downtown Nashville. Approximately 8,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space are included on the ground level.

Situated on a tight urban site with little to no laydown room for materials, the Morris project site is near Music Row, and recording studios are all around the site. Noise is a concern for our neighbors. And because of the vertical stature of this project and the populated area that surrounds it, scaffolding became a safety issue. Our project team proposed a solution that would address all three of these concerns – mast climbers.

The construction plan called for wrapping the perimeter of the project with 16 mast climbers. The mast climbers provided a one-source scaffolding solution for all trade partners working on site. They were safer than traditional scaffolding and reduced the amount of material that would otherwise have been required. They allowed multiple trade partners to access the exterior of the building at one time, giving our neighbors a quicker reprieve from the inevitable construction noise. These were not only more sturdy and efficient, but they were also electric, as opposed to gas, so there were no flammable materials on the lift, eliminating yet another risk factor.
