Crisp Regional

The 30,000-square-foot OR and Outpatient Expansion at Crisp Regional Hospital enhances healthcare services for Crisp County by adding two new floors of operating rooms and modernizing the outpatient facilities.

The expansion introduces an additional 15,000 square feet over two stories, with 7,500 square feet dedicated to new operating suite space. Renovations include administrative areas, post-operative recovery spaces, and the entrance and waiting areas.

As a phased project, Hoar worked closely with hospital administration to coordinate schedules and minimize disruption for patients and staff. The hospital remained in full operation as the team constructed new operating rooms alongside the existing spaces to ensure all scheduled procedures continued without disruption. One of the more complex components of the project included replacing the existing generator with two new ones, during which Hoar worked with the hospital staff to shut down electrical units and continue normal operations while transferring the machinery from one side of the building to the other during a three-week process.
