Columbia State Community College Southern Regional Tech Center
The CoSCC Southern Regional Technology Center is an 88,000-square-foot, three-story workforce development facility designed to support a diverse range of healthcare and technical education programs, including Licensed Practical Nursing, Registered Nursing, Veterinary Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Automotive Technology, Welding, HVAC, and Engineering Systems. The project included the construction of advanced laboratories, classrooms, administrative spaces, and support areas, along with a geothermal bore field and comprehensive site improvements.
Delivered through a complex multi-phased approach, the project included extensive utility relocations, site preparation, early procurement of critical building systems, construction of the new facility, demolition of an existing occupied building, and a 5,000-square-foot renovation within the CSCC Hickman Building. The renovation added new entrances, reconfigured classroom spaces, faculty offices, and support amenities. Careful planning and coordination allowed construction activities to progress while maintaining campus operations, resulting in a modern, state-of-the-art training environment that supports workforce development across the region.
