USA Fanny Meisler Trauma Center

The Fanny Meisler Trauma Center project consists of a 27,000 square-foot expansion to the existing Level 1 trauma center at the University Hospital in Mobile, Alabama.

The new addition more than doubles the size of the current facility. The expanded facility consists of 41 private exam rooms, an increase from the 22 private and semi-private exam rooms currently available. The center provides 24-hour and total care for every aspect of injury and is a crucial resource for referrals and public education. It reduces wait times and potentially eliminates “diversion,” which requires hospitals to send patients to another facility because they are full.
