UTMB Galveston Emergency Department

The Emergency Department Renovation consists of four phases and 22,000 square feet, which remains fully functional at all times during construction.

The 15,394 square feet of improvements on Level 2 include HVAC improvements, Code Driven updates, and updating the various patient access points concerning intake, exam areas, and procedure areas on Level 2. Level 1 will have 2,600 square feet of improvements to the pedestrian approach in accessing the Emergency Department up to Level 2. Level 3 priorities are the relocation of Life Safety and Fire Alarm panels from Level 2.
