Amazon Delivery Station

Orlando, Florida

The Amazon Delivery Station and Parking Facility project consists of structural renovations to a recently opened 561,750 square-foot last-mile distribution center.

To meet code-required building classification/occupancy, one half of the building was separated from the other to provide indoor vehicle parking and storage. This method involves the use of structural steel and a firewall. The firewall modifications include adding gypsum layers to upgrade to a 3-hour fire-rated wall. The scope also includes demolition of the exterior of the building to add new roll-up doors and dock delivery ramps/equipment, as well as adding striping for 150 parking spaces in the interior of the building for Amazon shipping vans.
