Buffalo Rock

In December of 2020, Buffalo Rock announced it will be moving its Huntsville, AL distribution operations from Old Madison Pike to a new facility next year in Limestone County north of I-565.

Hoar was selected to provide design-build services for construction of the new facility. The project scope includes development of the 55-acre site as well as construction of a 204,000 square-foot building which includes 16,000 square feet of office space. The building construction consists of tilt-up concrete with a conventional steel/bar joists roof frame. Construction began in the Summer of 2021 and is expected to be complete in May of 2022. The distribution center will employ 130 full-time workers when complete.

At the same time, Hoar is also working on the $75M expansion and renovation of the 120,000 square-foot Buffalo Rock warehouse/production facility and office in Birmingham, AL. The two facilities are scheduled to complete in December of 2021 and January of 2022.
