Buffalo Rock Birmingham

Buffalo Rock, based in Birmingham and founded in 1901, is a provider of Pepsi soft drink beverages and is the largest single-family-owned Pepsi bottler in the county.

They offer a full line of vending and food services including sodas, coffee, and snacks as well as catering services. This distributor purchased more than a million square feet of warehouse and office space and plans to invest $75 million to create a new central distribution center and office off Lakeshore Drive in Birmingham. There will be renovations to an existing 835,000 square-foot warehouse, existing 120,000 square-foot office building, and a 60-acre site. Construction began in January of 2021 and the renovated facilities are expected to be operational by January of 2022. As part of a strategic growth initiative to expand over the next decade, these state-of-the-art upgrades will double Buffalo Rock’s output, provide 90 loading docks, reduce the number of touches and improve efficiencies as well as create 50 new jobs in the initial phase of the project.
