Petrobras America, Inc.

As an office build-out project, Petrobras America was designed to meet LEED Commercial Interiors Certification but achieved LEED Silver.

One strategy employed during construction was extensive indoor air quality testing at several different locations on each of the project’s six floors. Once a specified volume of air, or flush out, was distributed throughout a floor, air quality tests measured contaminants and VOCs. Project specifications and several dust-control measures taken during construction ensured these tests were passed. The design includes raised floors with under-floor vents and electrical connections, low voltage lighting, and custom-designed recycling resources.
