Samford Harrison Theatre

Harrison Theatre, originally built in 1976 and part of Samford’s Department of Theatre and Dance, underwent a significant front-of-the-house renovation.

New seats were installed on a steeper rake to bring the audience closer to the stage. Accessibility platforms were added to provide seating for all guests. Two platforms were installed at each entrance to provide new areas for lighting as well as access for performers to enter the stage from the audience side. The renovations also included two new light tower balconies, structural upgrades in the basement, new paint to give the theatre a fresh new look as well as new HVAC and life safety system upgrades.

The renovations make a significant difference for the audience experience, from more comfortable seating, a better view of the performers, and all-around acoustics.
