University of Memphis Student Recreation Center

The new student recreation center is a cornerstone to the university’s revitalized corridor onto campus.

This state-of-the-art 79,000 square-foot, two-story student recreation facility includes two indoor basketball courts and a multipurpose, multi-level fitness center with an indoor running track circulating throughout. In addition to upgraded locker rooms and an administration office wing, there are educational classrooms, training and fitness studios, a 2,000-square-foot wellness and nutrition area with a 12-station demo kitchen, a grab-n-go food mart, and large group exercise areas. The outdoor amenities feature an outdoor leisure pool, three tennis courts, and a full basketball court.

This project was constructed to meet the Tennessee Sustainable Design Guidelines.
