An Eric Colbert & Associates design, Peninsula 88 will include 110 luxury condominium units and three penthouse units, totaling 168,000 SF with 1,800 SF of retail and a 113-car underground parking garage. The design includes a rooftop deck with views of the Capitol to the north, and water views on three sides.
“This project is going to turn this area from commercial and industrial buildings to parks, public spaces, and housing,” said Jeff Kruse, vice president of Hoar’s DC division. “We’re looking forward to getting started on the first residential project in this area and helping transform a new portion of the city.”
Hoar has been involved since early in the preconstruction phase to balance the district’s requirements with the developer’s vision and the project’s budget. Construction is set to begin this month and should take approximately 19 months.
