Renaissance at Colony Park

Hoar partnered with the developers of The Renaissance at Colony Park in Ridgeland, Mississippi, to implement a design assist approach for a project that would set a high standard for shopping experiences.

With the goal of creating a place-making center and the premier shopping experience in Mississippi, we began work with the developer and architect to create a very sound, functional, and cost-effective open-air center that had that “wow” factor the developer was seeking. Hoar consulted with the architect during the concept and design stages to make sure the design was cost-effective and durable but also met the developer’s expectation for aesthetics. We provided advice on materials, systems, cost, and constructability. We reviewed plans, and with the help of our subcontractors, and made suggestions to improve the overall quality of the project. And never forgetting our mission of keeping the cost within the established budget, we offered value-engineering suggestions that saved the developer approximately 2.5% of the total contract value.
