1. What’s your current day-to-day look like?
It definitely varies by the day, but I always start the day by checking in with our teams on our various projects. Ensuring they have the resources needed and what opportunities we need to resolve for the day. I always check in with our clients and design partners. And working with clients on securing the next exciting project.
2. What’s the one lesson you’ve learned in this industry that’s stuck with you?
Treat everyone with respect and the way you want to be treated. At the end of the day everyone is human and working towards the same goal.
3. What’s the last thing you did to help make a project run smoother?
Prioritizing planning and coordination with the owner well before starting a project. Knowing their concerns and hot button items upfront allows us to better plan and coordinate a painless project
4. How did you get started in the industry?
When I was in middle school my parents did an addition to our house. We hired a contractor to get the addition dried in and then my dad and I did everything else. I fell in love with construction on that project and knew that’s what I wanted to do.
5. What’s your most memorable project?
Developing people and seeing them achieve their goals. I enjoy seeing them recognize their own potential as they grow in their career and personal life.
6. What’s your favorite band or song?
Anything 90’s country. Love it all.
7. What’s your favorite movie?
Die Hard, the greatest Christmas movie.
8. What’s your proudest accomplishment?
Completion of any NICU project. My daughter was in the NICU when she was first born and being able to build or renovate a NICU so they can better take care of those babies always makes me proud.
