Northeast Georgia Health, Lifepoint Rehabilitation Open New Hospital In Gainesville, Georgia

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS; Demorest, Ga.) and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a division of Lifepoint Health (Columbus, Ga.), opened the new Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute in Gainesville, Ga., according to a news release from Hoar Construction (Atlanta), the builder on the project.

The 62,000-square-foot, 2-story rehabilitation hospital houses 40 beds, a therapy gym, and life-skills-training area with a mock kitchen and bedroom. Amenities include a courtyard with outdoor therapeutic resources, putting greens, bocce ball courts, and basketball courts.

The project team includes Earl Swensson Associates (ESa; Nashville, Tenn.) as the architect; Enfinity Engineering (Brentwood, Tenn.) as the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineer; and Lawson Mechanical (Sacramento, Calif.) as the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning subcontractor.
